Clonea Strand is a refined Kölsch that exemplifies the hybrid nature of the style, offering the crispness of a lager with the subtle complexity of an ale. It presents a delicate sensory profile centered on grainy-sweet Pilsner malt and faint esters of apple and pear. The hop character is understated, providing light floral and herbal notes that yield to a moderate, clean bitterness. Appearance. Light gold (4 SRM) with brilliant clarity. It carries a delicate, fine-textured white head with moderate retention.

Aroma. Low intensity aromatics featuring grainy-sweet malt and a subtle fruit character of pear and apple. Very low herbal and floral hop notes; clean, fresh, and free of fermentation byproducts.
