This Wild Specialty Beer pours a vibrant, hazy crimson, releasing a high-intensity aroma of freshly crushed raspberries intertwined with sweet, aromatic vanilla. The presence of lactose provides a smooth, creamy counterpoint to the sharp, lactic tartness of the fruit. On the palate, the bright raspberry acidity is softened by a velvety mouthfeel and a lingering dessert-like sweetness. Appearance. Vibrant pink to deep crimson with a noticeable haze. Pours with a frothy, light pink head that exhibits moderate to poor retention, typical of acidic fruit beers, leaving thin lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of jammy, sun-ripened raspberries. Complemented by moderate notes of sweet vanilla bean and a creamy, milk-sugar character. A clean, sharp lactic acidity is present, with very low funky esters from the wild fermentation.
