This indulgent Imperial Stout is a decadent exploration of cocoa, masterfully incorporating cacao husk, nibs, powder, and extract to build a multi-layered chocolate profile. On the nose and palate, intense notes of bittersweet dark chocolate and fudge are softened by the creamy addition of lactose and the aromatic, marshmallow-like sweetness of vanilla. While the underlying malt provides a sturdy backbone of espresso and charred grain, the pastry-inspired elements create a luscious, dessert-like experience. At 10% ABV, a smooth alcohol warmth emerges to balance the residual sweetness, resulting in a complex, velvety finish that lingers with a rich cocoa resonance.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (40+ SRM). Pours with a thick, dense, dark tan head that shows moderate retention and leaves oily legs on the glass due to high viscosity.

Aroma. High intensity chocolate-forward bouquet featuring cocoa powder and dark chocolate nibs. Secondary notes of sweet vanilla and cream from lactose are present, supported by a moderate roasted malt character reminiscent of espresso and black licorice. Low dark fruit esters of plum and raisin; no hop aroma.

Taste. Initial impression is intensely sweet and chocolatey, followed by flavors of Dutch-process cocoa and vanilla bean. The malt profile provides a balance of toasted bread and burnt grain. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as lower due to the significant body and lactose. The finish is lingering and sweet with a final note of baker's chocolate and mild warmth.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied, thick, and chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. Carbonation is moderate to low. A noticeable, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, with no astringency.
