Electro is a refined West Coast Double IPA that balances old-school intensity with modern precision. An amberesque hue hints at a sturdy foundation of Pale Ale, Pilsner, and Crystal malts, providing a supportive, toasty backdrop for an aggressive hop profile. The classic quartet of Amarillo, Cascade, Chinook, and Columbus hops delivers a high-scoring sensory experience defined by sharp grapefruit zest, resinous pine forest, and deep floral spice. This bold bitterness is expertly integrated, leading into a crisp, dry finish. It captures the essence of a neo-classic American powerhouse, where the elevated alcohol warmth remains smooth and dangerous, much like a fast-moving pinball hitting every sensory bumper.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper (9-11 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head that leaves resilient lacing.
Aroma. High-intensity hop aroma dominated by resinous pine, grapefruit rind, and spicy floral notes from the Chinook and Columbus hops. A supportive, clean, toasted grainy maltiness with hints of light caramel sits in the background, alongside a neutral fermentation profile and a soft alcohol presence.
Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of orange zest, pine sap, and dank resin. The bitterness is high and firm but remains smooth, balanced by a low, clean malt character featuring light toast. The Amarillo and Cascade hops provide a citrus-forward mid-palate. Finishes very dry and clean with a long, lingering hoppy bitterness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, accentuating the dry finish. Contains a restrained, smooth alcohol warmth and no hop-derived astringency.
