This Hazy IPA showcases a saturated hop profile driven by massive additions of Egger's Motueka and Citra Cryo. The sensory experience is defined by intense bursts of zesty lime and tropical fruit, amplified by Citra Dynaboost in the fermenter. A grist of Cumberland Pilsner and 2-Row Base Camp provides a clean, bready foundation, while a heavy integration of Riverbend Oats and Chit creates a pillowy, soft texture. Spunded for natural carbonation, it pours with a radiant haze and offers a juicy, fruit-forward palate that finishes with a gentle, restrained bitterness, emphasizing the fresh, vibrant character of the New Zealand hops.
Appearance. Pours a hazy straw to light orange (4-6 SRM) with a brilliant, opaque shine. Topped by a dense, white, meringue-like head with excellent retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward bouquet featuring distinct notes of fresh lime zest and mojito-like citrus from the Egger's Motueka, complemented by tropical passionfruit and grapefruit from Citra. A soft, grainy, bready malt presence from the Cumberland Pilsner sits in the background, alongside light fruity esters from the house yeast.
Taste. Explodes with vibrant flavors of lime, mango, and sweet citrus. The malt profile is lightly bready and neutral, supporting the hops without adding sweetness. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the soft mouthfeel. The finish is juicy and off-dry, with a lingering tropical hop aftertaste and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a silky, smooth texture provided by the Riverbend Oats and Chit. Carbonation is moderate and naturally integrated. Very low alcohol warmth and zero astringency.
