This New Zealand Pilsner is a vibrant showcase of Southern Hemisphere hop character, specifically featuring the bright, citrus-forward Motueka and the complex, orange-marmalade notes of Pacífica hops. The aroma leads with an expressive burst of lime zest, crushed gooseberry, and tropical fruit, underpinned by a clean, crackery malt profile. On the palate, a soft but firm bitterness balances the delicate bready sweetness of the base. It finishes exceptionally clean and dry, inviting another sip. The marriage of classic lager precision with the bold, white-wine and citrus qualities of New Zealand hops creates a refreshing, hop-forward experience that remains remarkably smooth and balanced.

Appearance. Straw to deep yellow-gold (3-5 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a dense, creamy, long-lasting white head that leaves consistent lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High hop intensity featuring prominent lime, white grapefruit, and tropical melon notes from Motueka, complemented by the floral and orange marmalade scents of Pacífica. Supporting malt is medium-low with a clean, bready, and crackery character. Fermentation is very clean with no esters and only a faint, fleeting sulfur note.

Taste. The initial impression is hop-forward, delivering flavors of lime zest, gooseberry, and subtle herbal grassiness. A medium-low grainy-sweet and bready malt flavor provides a solid foundation. Bitterness is moderate to high but remains clean and smooth, never harsh. The balance is decidedly bitter but supported by malt. The finish is dry and crisp with a lingering citrus and floral aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a soft, smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a refreshing prickle on the tongue. There is no perceived alcohol warmth or astringency, emphasizing drinkability.
