This American Strong Ale presents a bold, aggressive profile dominated by indecent amounts of Columbus hops. Pungent aromas of resinous pine, damp earth, and sharp citrus leap from the glass, supported by a sturdy foundation of dark caramel and toasted bread. On the palate, the intense, spicy bitterness of Columbus is immediate, cutting through a rich, medium-full body. Deep toffee notes provide a necessary counterweight to the lupulin-heavy character, leading into a lingering, bittersweet finish. Appearance. Deep copper to light brown (approx. 16 SRM) with good clarity; topped by a medium-sized, light tan head with moderate retention and some light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity; pungent, resinous, and spicy hop character with notes of damp pine and black pepper; supported by bold caramel and bready maltiness; low fruity esters and a clean, noticeable alcohol warmth.
Taste. Initial punch of high hop bitterness and resinous flavor; medium-high malt complexity featuring dark caramel and rich toffee; low stone fruit esters; finishes bittersweet and slightly dry with lingering notes of pine and roasted grain.

De color ambarino claro, genera una espuma blanca con tonos beiges, muy densa y duradera.
Gran aroma inicial a cítricos, flores, hierba recién cortada y algo de malta tostada.
No se utiliza Dry Hopping en esta receta, todo el aroma se consigue con adiciones tardías en el hervido.
En boca potente y agresiva desde el primer instante. Con cuerpo medio y cierta cremosidad, aparece toda la potencia del lúpulo al comienzo, con cítricos que recuerdan a piel de naranja o pomelo y un carácter herbal muy pronunciado.
Finalmente deja hacerse notar, de manera sutil, el caramelo y leves matices afrutados, lo justo para aportar algo de equilibrio al conjunto final.
