This Hazy IPA is a vibrant showcase of the unique Zappa hop variety, delivering a multifaceted sensory experience. It pours with a dense, luminous haze, immediately releasing an intense aromatic bouquet of ripe mango, tart passionfruit, and zesty citrus peel. A distinct resinous pine undertone provides a classic counterpoint to the tropical explosion. The palate follows suit with a soft, pillowy texture and a juicy fruit profile that lingers without harsh bitterness. Balanced by a subtle, bready malt backbone, this expression highlights the complex, spice-touched tropicality and savory depth that makes this specific hop variety so celebrated.

Appearance. Deep straw to golden-yellow (5 SRM) with a heavy, opaque haze and a luminous glow. It supports a thick, persistent, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and lacing.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics dominated by tropical fruit esters and pungent hop oils. Primary notes of succulent mango and passionfruit are complemented by bright citrus peel and a unique, slightly savory pine resin. Background malt is low, offering a clean, neutral, lightly bready graininess.

Taste. Initial impression is a rush of juicy tropical fruit, with mango and passionfruit leading. The mid-palate reveals layers of citrus zest and a woody, resinous pine character. Bitterness is low-to-moderate and exceptionally smooth, never lingering. The finish is off-dry and clean, with a persistent fruity aftertaste and no harsh astringency or hop burn.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, rounded, and plush texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to the beer’s smoothness. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated, providing a gentle lift without any fusel harshness.
