A vibrant and remarkably sessionable American IPA that defies its micro-strength proof with a massive hop profile. Showcasing a collaborative mastery of modern hop expression, it bursts with resinous and dank tropical notes driven by Strata, which yields layers of bright passion fruit, mixed berries, and sharp grapefruit. This is seamlessly complemented by Simcoe, contributing robust undertones of citrus peel and ripe stone fruits. Despite its featherlight footprint, it maintains a remarkably satisfying presence on the palate, delivering the expressive hop-forward punch and clean, dry finish characteristic of the style.
Appearance. Medium gold with a slight, modern haze. Crowned by a persistent, fluffy white head that leaves delicate lacing as it recedes.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominant hop aromas of dank passion fruit, candied berries, and zesty grapefruit from the Strata hops, layered with piney citrus peel and sweet stone fruit from the Simcoe. Clean fermentation profile with a very low, sweet bready malt background and no alcohol presence.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of juicy tropical and citrus fruit. Bright flavors of grapefruit, passion fruit, and fleshy stone fruit dominate the palate. Hop bitterness is moderate-high but clean, balancing a very light, cracker-like malt backbone. Finishes dry and crisp with a lingering, hoppy aftertaste of citrus peel and resin.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a surprisingly smooth texture that avoids being watery. Moderate to high carbonation provides a crisp, refreshing bite. Entirely clean and devoid of any alcohol warmth or astringency.
