Drop Project

This vibrant American IPA, a collaborative fruited creation with Villages Brewery, delivers an intense sensory experience driven by bold tropical hops and luscious fruit additions. Pouring a hazy, glowing orange-gold with a thick white head, it opens with an explosive bouquet of ripe passion fruit, mango, and bright citrus zest, underpinned by a clean, light bready malt backbone. On the palate, a wave of juicy stone fruit and tropical sweetness is balanced by a firm, resinous hop bitterness. Smooth, moderately full, and drying, this IPA finishes clean and remarkably refreshing despite its warming 7% strength.

Appearance. Medium gold to light amber with a prominent, glowing haze from the fruit addition. Crowned by a dense, persistent white head that leaves intricate lacing as it recedes.

Aroma. High intensity aroma featuring explosive notes of tropical fruit and citrus zest alongside resinous and floral New World hops. Supported by a clean, low, grainy-sweet pale malt background. Fermentation profile is exceptionally clean, with the fruit additions dominating the aromatic presentation.

Taste. An immediate burst of juicy tropical fruit and bright citrus flavor is supported by a clean, low-intensity bready malt sweetness. Hop bitterness is medium-high to firm, countering the initial fruit sweetness. The finish is dryish with a lingering, clean hoppy bitterness and a hint of sweet fruit flesh in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture enhanced by the fruit proteins. Carbonation is moderate to medium-high. Provides a very light, smooth, and well-integrated alcohol warmth from its 7% ABV with no harsh astringency.
