Straight Up Amarillo presents a quintessential Hazy IPA experience, focusing on the vibrant, citrus-driven character of its namesake Amarillo hops. This New England Pale Ale iteration offers an inviting, juice-like profile defined by saturated notes of sweet orange, grapefruit zest, and delicate floral undertones. A soft, pillowy texture anchors the experience, supported by a neutral, grainy malt base that allows the hop aromatics to remain at the forefront. The fermentation is clean with subtle fruity esters that enhance the hop complexity. It finishes with a restrained bitterness and a smooth, off-dry touch, making it remarkably drinkable and refreshing.

Appearance. Color is a pale straw to soft yellow (4 SRM) with a deep, opaque haze that creates a matte shine. It supports a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by bright orange citrus, pink grapefruit, and a distinct floral perfume characteristic of Amarillo. The malt is subtle, providing a clean, lightly bready and grainy background without any caramel notes. Low fruity esters are present, blending seamlessly with the hops.

Taste. Very high fruity hop flavors featuring ripe apricot, orange marmalade, and citrus zest. The malt character is low, providing a supportive, neutral grainy flavor. Bitterness is low to medium-low, perceived as soft and integrated rather than sharp. The finish is smooth and off-dry, with a lingering juicy citrus aftertaste and no harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a characteristic soft, plush, and creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to the smooth delivery. There is no perceived alcohol warmth at this ABV, and no astringency or raw starch texture.
