Appearance. Deep gold to pale amber with a distinct orange-red tint from the fruit; brilliant clarity with a persistent, off-white, fine-beaded head that leaves dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity citrus aroma featuring bold blood orange zest and tangy juice, backed by moderate resinous pine and grapefruit hop notes. Low, neutral grainy malt sweetness is present in the background.
Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, refreshing burst of blood orange and grapefruit. Moderate to high hop bitterness is clean and well-supported by a lean, cracker-like malt profile. The fruit contributes a light acidic tang rather than sweetness. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering, resinous and citrus-pith aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, effervescent carbonation that enhances the fruit’s acidity. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated; no noticeable astringency despite the citrus additions.
