This Hazy IPA, presented as a double-strength version of the brewery's flagship profile, delivers an intense sensory experience defined by its concentrated New World hop character. It pours a glowing, opaque straw-gold with a resilient, white rocky head. The aroma is highly intense, leaping from the glass with notes of ripe mango, passionfruit, and bright citrus zest, supported by a clean, bready malt base. On the palate, the succulent stone fruit and tropical punch flavors are primary, leading into a soft, pillowy finish. Restrained bitterness and a smooth, integrated alcohol presence ensure high drinkability despite its luxurious, medium-full body.
Appearance. Deep straw to light orange (4-6 SRM) with a vibrant, opaque haze that gives the beer a healthy shine. Topped with a white, rocky, meringue-like head that demonstrates high retention and leaves significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring stone fruit (peach), tropical fruit (pineapple, mango), and citrus. The malt character is low, presenting as clean, grainy, and lightly bready. Fermentation character is neutral with low fruity esters that complement the hop profile.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the tropical and citrus notes of the aroma. Low bready malt flavor provides a supportive backbone. Perceived bitterness is moderate, though it feels restrained due to the soft, off-dry finish. The aftertaste is smooth and fruit-forward without any harsh hop burn or astringency.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, soft, and velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its 7% strength, but it remains free of any harshness or raw starch character.
