Drop Project Savage offers a modern interpretation of the classic Irish Red Ale, balancing traditional malt depth with contemporary hop brightness. The foundation is built on rich caramel and toasty malt, providing a smooth, rounded sweetness that leads into a clean, slightly dry finish. The addition of Cascade and Chinook hops introduces a subtle aromatic layer of gentle citrus and soft pine, cutting through the bready core without overwhelming the style's inherent balance. It pours a clear reddish-copper with an inviting tan head, delivering a highly drinkable experience that merges Old World structure with New World hop character.

Appearance. Medium reddish-copper in color (SRM 12-14) with brilliant clarity. Features a low, off-white to tan-colored head with average persistence and light lacing.

Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring a lightly toasty and caramel malt character. The modern influence is apparent through low aromas of citrus and subtle pine from the Cascade and Chinook hops. Clean fermentation profile with no significant esters.

Taste. Initial soft caramel and toffee sweetness is quickly met by a toasty, biscuity malt core. Hop flavors of gentle grapefruit and resinous pine provide a modern edge over a medium-low bitterness. The finish is medium-dry with a signature touch of roasted grain dryness, leaving a clean and balanced aftertaste.
