Drop Project

Huck serves as a compelling bridge between tradition and modern harvest, presenting as an English IPA with a contemporary aromatic edge. The sensory experience is defined by a bready, biscuity malt foundation that supports the prominent resinous and pine characteristics of Simcoe and Strata hops. These specific varieties introduce an unmistakable citrus-orange brightness and a sticky, weed-like depth that sharpens the profile. While it maintains the style's signature assertive bitterness and well-attenuated dry finish, the silky creamy mouthfeel adds unexpected luxury. It is a harmonious marriage of British structure and the resinous, dank intensity of a premium hop crop.

Appearance. Deep golden to light amber color (approximately 8-12 SRM). Features a moderate, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing. The clarity shows a slight haze, characteristic of a heavily dry-hopped and unfiltered ale.

Aroma. High hop intensity featuring assertive resinous pine and citrus-orange notes from Simcoe and Strata. This is supported by a medium-low bready and biscuity malt character and moderate fermentation esters. A distinctive, sticky, weed-like dankness is present.

Taste. Initial hop-forward impression with layers of sharp pine and citrus-orange. The malt flavor is medium-low, providing a toasted, biscuity base that balances the assertive hop bitterness. Low to moderate fruitiness is present, leading to a medium-dry, clean finish where the bitterness lingers pleasantly without harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a notable silky and creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate, aiding the dry sensation. A very low, smooth alcohol warmth is present at 6% ABV, with no perceived hop-derived astringency.
