Crushed is a vibrant American IPA that leans into the modern, fruit-saturated profile of its namesake predecessor. At 6.8% ABV, it showcases the synergistic power of Cryo hops and thiol-active yeast to deliver an explosion of tropical intensity. Expect waves of pungent passion fruit, guava, and citrus zest radiating from a pale gold, hazy body. The malt remains in a supporting role, providing a clean, grainy foundation that allows the bio-transformed hop oils to dominate. It balances a lush, fruit-forward perception with a firm, cleansing bitterness, finishing with a lingering resinous punch and a soft, pillowy texture.

Appearance. Color is medium gold (6-8 SRM). It features a medium-sized, white head with good persistence and lacing. While the style allows clarity, this example exhibits a pronounced, uniform haze.

Aroma. Intensity is high, dominated by prominent tropical fruit (passion fruit, guava), citrus (grapefruit), and stone fruit hop character. A clean, low, grainy maltiness provides a subtle backbone. Fermentation is mostly clean, though thiol-driven fruit esters are high.

Taste. Initial impression is hop-saturated and fruity. High hop flavors of citrus and tropical fruit mirror the aroma. Malt flavor is low and bready. Bitterness is firm and medium-high (approx. 50-60 IBU), balancing the fruit-driven sweetness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering hoppy and resinous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is medium-high. A very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present, but well-integrated into the finish. No harshness or hop astringency.
