Drop Project

This American IPA represents a modern, thiol-driven collaboration between Drop Project and Two Flints. Utilizing a specialized yeast strain for bio-transformation, the beer releases an intense tropical blast of fruit pastel sweets. The hop profile is dominated by the synergistic pairing of Citra and Azacca in both T90 and Cryo forms, alongside Equanot, delivering saturated notes of mango, lime, and guava. While the body is described as unctuous and thick, the fermentation remains clean, allowing the high hop intensity to shine without cloying sweetness. It is a vibrant, juice-forward interpretation of the style with a remarkably smooth, velvet-like delivery.

Appearance. Deep gold (7 SRM) with a pronounced, opaque haze. Features a thick, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Intense aromatics of passion fruit, guava, and candied tropical fruits driven by thiol biotransformation. Strong hop character featuring grapefruit from Citra and ripe pineapple from Azacca. Low, neutral grainy malt supports a very high fruity ester profile.

Taste. High hop flavor of citrus zest, melon, and tropical 'fruit pastel' candy. The malt flavor is low and clean, providing a slight bready backbone. Bitterness is medium-high but smooth, balancing the rich hop oils. The finish is clean and moderately dry with a lingering tropical fruit aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full, unctuous body with a smooth, creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated at 6% ABV, with no detectable astringency.
