Crew Chief is a vibrant take on the Italian Pilsner style, utilizing a clean German Pils framework to elevate the unique character of Saphir hops. This straw-colored lager leads with intense floral aromatics—described as floral aeronautics—complemented by subtle spicy and herbal undertones. The palate is defined by a firm, refreshing bitterness that immediately cuts through a delicate base of crackery and doughy Pilsner malt. Its light, lean body and high carbonation create a snappy, dry finish that lingers with a refined hop presence. It is a crisp, highly attenuated example of modern lager brewing where traditional technique meets assertive hopping.
Appearance. Straw to pale yellow (2–3 SRM). Brilliant clarity. Pours with a dense, creamy, long-lasting white head that leaves intricate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Dominant floral character from Saphir hops, accompanied by subtle notes of spice and dried herbs. The malt presents as light honey, toasted cracker, and fresh dough. Clean fermentation profile with no detectable esters or diacetyl.
