Dougall’s Hoppy Lager elevates the American Lager framework with a craft-focused hop profile and a robust 6% ABV. The use of Pale malt provides a clean, crackery foundation that allows the Green Bullet and Sterling hops to shine. Green Bullet introduces distinctive notes of pine and dark fruit, while Sterling adds a refined layer of spicy herbs and citrus zest. Despite its increased hop presence and strength, the beer maintains a crisp, well-attenuated character typical of the style. The result is an exceptionally refreshing lager that balances clean fermentation with a bright, modern hop aromatic intensity and a crisp, dry finish.

Appearance. Very pale straw to medium yellow (SRM 2-4). It features a white, frothy head with moderate retention and light lacing. The clarity is brilliant.

Aroma. Moderate intensity with a clean fermentation profile. Low grainy-sweet Pale malt character is secondary to the moderate hop aroma, which presents as spicy herbs and lemon zest from Sterling, combined with a subtle resinous pine note from Green Bullet.

Taste. The palate is relatively neutral with a crisp, dry finish. Initial impression is hop-forward for the style, showcasing herbal spice and faint citrus. A low grainy malt flavor provides a clean backdrop. The bitterness is low to medium-low, well-balanced and never harsh. The aftertaste is clean and refreshing with a light, lingering herbal hop note.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a high carbonation level that produces a slight carbonic bite on the tongue. There is a subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth reflecting the 6% ABV. No astringency or creaminess.
