This radiant yellow Hazy IPA showcases a masterfully orchestrated collaboration between Dougall’s and Caleya. A grain bill featuring Extra Pale malt, flaked oats, and malted wheat creates a soft, bready foundation that supports a massive hop profile. The use of London Fog liquid yeast amplifies the fruity esters, perfectly complementing the intense tropical notes of pineapple and peach driven by Bru-1, Citra, and Mosaic hops. The addition of Citra Lupomax and Cryo Mosaic ensures a concentrated fruit-forward experience, reminiscent of a fresh fruit salad. Silky and full-bodied, it maintains high drinkability with a clean finish and balanced, restrained bitterness.
Appearance. Radiant yellow (SRM 3–5) with a hazy, nearly opaque clarity that maintains a healthy shine. Topped with a medium-sized, white, meringue-like head showing excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High-intensity aroma dominated by a tropical fruit medley; specifically bold pineapple, ripe peach, and hints of mango. Low bready and grainy malt notes provide a neutral background, while the London Fog yeast adds clean, supportive fruity esters without any harshness or herbal quality.
Taste. An initial explosion of fruity hop flavors including pineapple and stone fruits. Malt flavor is low to medium-low, echoing bready and grainy notes from the wheat and oats. Perceived bitterness is low to medium-low and very smooth, never sharp. The fermentation profile is clean and fruity, leading to a medium finish that is pleasant and free of hop burn.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notably silky, soft, and pillowy texture derived from the heavy use of flaked grains. Carbonation is moderate. Alcohol presence is well-integrated with only a very light warmth; the mouthfeel is smooth and devoid of astringency.
