Double Vision Brewing

This Bright IPA iteration of an American IPA bridges the gap between tropical indulgence and refreshing drinkability. A brilliant, clear presentation sets the stage for a punchy aromatic profile driven by El Dorado, Azacca, Motueka, and Elani hops. The sensory experience is dominated by lush layers of mango, guava, and pineapple, accented by a distinct mojito-like lime and mint freshness from the Motueka. Stone fruit notes of white peach emerge against a very lean, neutral malt backdrop. Despite its juicy character, the finish is exceptionally crisp and clean, offering a modern, vibrant take on the style.

Appearance. Medium gold (6 SRM). Brilliant clarity. Large, frothy white head with excellent persistence and intricate lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a tropical fruit medley. Dominant notes of ripe mango, pineapple, and guava. Sharp, refreshing citrus and herbal lime zest quality reminiscent of a mojito. Very low, clean, crackery maltiness provides a neutral foundation. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit without heavy sweetness. Flavors of white peach, citrus, and guava are prominent. Because only late and dry additions of El Dorado, Azacca, Motueka, and Elani were used, the bitterness is notably softer and smoother than traditional examples. Malt flavor is very low and bready. Finishes extremely dry and crisp with a lingering lime and tropical fruit aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, refreshing texture. Moderate to high carbonation provides a lively tingle on the tongue. Alcohol warmth is negligible. No astringency; smooth and highly drinkable.
