Double-Barrelled Brewery

Shore is an ultra-pale American IPA that delivers a complex, multilayered sensory experience. The aroma and flavor are driven by a sophisticated hop blend featuring Citra and Centennial, which provide classic notes of zesty grapefruit and resinous pine. Riwaka and Mosaic contribute vibrant tropical fruit and citrus depth, while the addition of HBC 1019 introduces unique nuances of coconut and summer stone fruit. This beer is crafted to be remarkably crisp and dry, allowing the hop-forward profile to remain the focal point. Balanced by a light, grainy malt backbone, it finishes with a clean, lingering bitterness that invites the next sip.

Appearance. Pours an ultra-pale straw to light gold (4-6 SRM). Exhibits brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, bright white head that shows good persistence and leaves fine lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by grapefruit, lemon zest, and fresh pine needles. Secondary notes include passionfruit, mango, and a subtle, creamy coconut character. Malt is low and neutral, resembling fresh grain or crackers. Clean fermentation profile with very low fruity esters.

Taste. High hop flavor echoing the aroma with dominant grapefruit, pine resin, and tropical berries. The bitterness is firm and assertive (approx. 50-60 IBU) but clean. Low grainy malt sweetness provides minimal support before a dry, crisp finish. The aftertaste is long and hoppy with a resinous, citrusy quality.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, contributing to a lively mouthfeel. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated. No harshness or astringency is present.
