This complex American Pale Ale presents a layered sensory profile derived from its unique maturation in bourbon ex single malt barrels and fermentation with Kveik lager. The nose leads with moderate American hop aromas of citrus and resin, seamlessly integrated with subtle vanilla and toasted oak from the wood. On the palate, a clean Kveik lager fermentation provides a crisp backdrop for flavors of bready malt and stone fruit. The barrel influence adds a sophisticated touch of honeyed spirit without overshadowing the style’s signature hop-forward character. It finishes with a balanced, moderate bitterness and a lingering, dry, wood-kissed aftertaste.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale amber (7–9 SRM). Large, persistent off-white head with good lacing. Generally clear with a brilliant luster, though a faint haze may be present due to the barrel-aged blend.

Aroma. Moderate to moderately-high intensity. Hop character features grapefruit, pine, and soft tropical fruit. Low to moderate neutral, grainy maltiness is complemented by subtle oaky notes of vanilla and light caramel from the bourbon ex single malt barrels. Clean fermentation profile from the Kveik lager yeast.

Taste. Initial impression of citrusy hops followed by a supportive, bready malt backbone. Hop flavor mirrors the aroma with citrus and resinous notes. Moderate bitterness is well-integrated.
