This Double India Pale Ale presents a lush, modern sensory profile, defined by its substantial use of malted and flaked oats. The result is a soft, pillowy sweetness that cushions an intense hop charge. The double dry-hop addition of Idaho 7 brings forward vivid layers of apricot, red fruit, and tropical papaya, while Centennial contributes a brightening citrus and floral top note. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer maintains a smooth, integrated character where fruity esters and hop-derived oils dominate the experience, leading into a firm but refined bitterness that balances the initial creamy malt presence and luxurious texture.

Appearance. Pale gold to light orange (6-9 SRM). Persistent, thick, white creamy head with excellent lacing. Hazy to opaque due to the high protein content of the oats.

Aroma. High intensity hop character featuring prominent notes of pineapple, stone fruit, and red berry from Idaho 7, complemented by grapefruit and floral aromatics from Centennial. A supportive, soft, grainy-sweet malt scent remains in the background with clean fermentation and a hint of smooth alcohol.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit including mango and papaya, followed by citrus zest and floral notes. The malted and flaked oats provide a soft, bready support for the moderately high bitterness. The finish is medium-dry and clean, with a lingering resinous hop character and no harshness. Moderate fruity esters are present.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notably smooth, pillowy, and creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. Subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but not hot. Zero hop-derived astringency.
