This Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer presents an intricate layer of chai spice, weaving notes of aromatic cardamom, cinnamon, and a hint of earthy clove into the profile. The low alcohol content ensures a refreshing experience where the botanical heat is balanced by a subtle fruit roundness. Appearance. Pours a hazy, pale straw to light golden hue (3-5 SRM). Features a moderate, frothy off-white head with fair retention and slight lacing. Visible effervescence is common given the ginger beer base.
Aroma. High intensity of fresh, pungent ginger dominates the initial nose. Secondary notes of ripe, honeyed golden pear provide a soft sweetness. The chai spice contribution is complex, offering distinct layers of cinnamon, cardamom, and a faint peppery earthiness. Malt and hop aromas are very low to absent, allowing the botanicals to lead.
