Disruption Is Brewing Ice Pirates
This Hazy IPA presents an inviting, juice-forward profile defined by a heavy-hitting hop trio of Nectaron, Citra, and Galaxy. The aroma is dominated by intense bursts of stone fruit and tropical pineapple, layered over a soft, bready malt base enriched by flaked oats. On the palate, the Galaxy hops provide a distinct passionfruit punch, while Citra lends bright lime and grapefruit notes that cut through the silky, creamy texture. Finely balanced with a restrained bitterness, this Oat Cream IPA finishes with a lingering tropical sweetness and a plush, pillowy mouthfeel that exemplifies the modern New England style.
Appearance. Straw to pale orange (SRM 4-6) with an opaque, hazy glow and a healthy shine. It is topped by a medium-to-large, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of nectarine, passionfruit, and citrus zest. Low bready and grainy malt character provides a subtle background. Clean, fruity fermentation esters are present but secondary to the massive hop-derived tropical fruit profile.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor with dominant peach, pineapple, and citrus. The malt flavor is low to medium, suggesting fresh bread and oats. Perceived bitterness is moderate but soft, never harsh. The finish is off-dry and smooth, with a lingering, juicy aftertaste of stone fruit.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable creaminess and pillowy softness from the oats. Carbonation is moderate. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, and the beer is completely free of hop astringency or harshness.
