This American Pale Ale highlights DEYA’s celebrated soft, approachable character, centering on the vibrant impact of Freestyle NZ02 experimental hops. The profile leads with an aromatic burst of zesty lime, crushed gooseberry, and tropical stone fruit. This intense hop character is expertly balanced by a delicate, doughy malt backbone that provides a clean, neutral platform for the New Zealand hops to shine. Appearance. Pours a pale golden color (approximately 5-6 SRM) with a slight, characteristic haze typical of modern interpretations. It is topped by a moderately large, frothy white head with excellent retention and delicate lacing.

Aroma. High hop intensity featuring distinct notes of lime zest, passion fruit, and a hint of white wine from the NZ02 hops. Supportive low-intensity bready and crackery malt notes provide a neutral backdrop with very low fruity esters.

Taste. Initial impression of bright tropical fruit and citrus oils. The NZ02 hops deliver flavors of gooseberry and melon over a light, bready malt foundation. Bitterness is moderate and well-integrated (approx. 35-40 IBU). The finish is clean and dry with lingering lime and floral hop notes in the aftertaste.
