This aged Imperial Stout presents a decadent sensory profile, pouring like midnight with a viscous, oil-like consistency. The twelve-month maturation in rye whiskey barrels infuses the liquid with a distinctive peppery spice and charred oak, perfectly complementing the deep, scorched notes of black strap molasses and brewer's licorice. Fragrant vanilla beans and earthy cherry bark provide a sophisticated aromatic lift, softening the robust 13% alcohol presence. On the palate, expect a rich tapestry of bittersweet chocolate and espresso, giving way to dark fruit esters and a lingering, warming finish that showcases the harmonious integration of its complex specialty ingredients.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (40+ SRM). It features a thick, creamy, deep mocha-colored head with moderate retention and significant viscous legs that cling to the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with a rich blend of bittersweet chocolate, espresso, and black strap molasses. Distinctive rye whiskey influence provides spicy grain and vanilla notes, supported by brewer's licorice and a faint, woody cherry bark earthiness. Subtle vinous oxidation adds a port-like complexity.

Taste. Intense and multi-layered, beginning with roasted grains and cocoa before transitioning into deep molasses and spicy rye. Moderate bitterness is well-balanced by residual malt sweetness and the herbal depth of licorice and cherry bark.
