This Czech Premium Pale Lager offers a quintessential sessionable experience at a restrained 4.2% ABV. It opens with a bouquet of medium-high bready richness derived from traditional Czech malts, punctuated by the snappy and spicy aromatic profile of Saaz hops. On the palate, a complex malt foundation provides a soft, rounded mouthfeel that balances a firm yet smooth bitterness. The interplay between the herbal hop character and the clean, decoction-like malt sweetness creates a refreshing and harmonious profile. It concludes with a crisp, lingering finish that highlights the elegant floral notes of the Saaz hops and a sophisticated, dry minerality.
Appearance. Deep gold color (5 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a dense, long-lasting, creamy white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Dominated by rich, bready, and toasted cracker malt notes. Complemented by a prominent spicy, herbal, and slightly floral hop bouquet from the Saaz additions. Fermentation is very clean with no detectable diacetyl or fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a rich, bready maltiness followed immediately by a pronounced but soft and rounded bitterness. Hop flavors are spicy and herbal. The balance is expertly struck between the complex malt core and the assertive hop presence. Finishes clean and dry with a lingering spicy hop character.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body with a soft, rounded texture. Carbonation is moderate. No alcohol warmth is perceived. Very low astringency with a smooth, crisp mouth-coating quality.
