Deep Creek’s Mango Tango is a vibrant Wild Specialty Beer that choreographs a lively performance between tropical fruit and bright acidity. A lush duo of mango and passionfruit leads the sensory profile, delivering a concentrated burst of sun-ripened flesh and tangy, exotic juice. Appearance. SRM 4-6; glowing golden-orange hue with a persistent haze from fruit addition. Pours with a moderate white head that dissipates fairly quickly, leaving a thin collar and minimal lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of fresh, fleshy mango and sharp, tropical passionfruit. A clean lactic sourness provides a bright backdrop, accompanied by very light cracker-like malt and a subtle, earthy wild yeast funk. Hop character is absent.
Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, refreshing tartness that immediately gives way to dominant mango and passionfruit flavors. The fruit character is vivid and authentic, presenting a 'sweet and sour' balance though the finish is decidedly dry. Low bready malt support; no hop bitterness or flavor is perceived. Clean fermentation with a mild acidic bite.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that produces a prickly, tongue-cleansing sensation. Very low astringency from the passionfruit acidity; no alcohol warmth is detected at 5% ABV.
