De Struise Brouwers Monster Shark Pants is a monumental expression of the Eisbock style, amplified by its massive 18% ABV. This pour presents a viscous, mahogany body with deep ruby flashes. The sensory profile is an intense concentration of toasty Maillard products, dark plum, and raisin, fused with a resinous hop character stemming from its Double Indian Pale Ale origins. Rich caramel and bready malt sweetness dominate the palate, balanced by a firm, concentrated bitterness. The experience is defined by a massive, silky mouthfeel and a profound, spirit-like warmth that lingers in a complex, dark-fruit finish.

Appearance. Dark brown with mahogany and ruby highlights; clear with pronounced legs. The deep ivory head has poor retention, typical of such high alcohol concentration.

Aroma. High intensity; dominated by rich, toasty malt, caramel, and dark fruit notes like plum and grape. A clean fermentation profile supports a significant alcohol presence and concentrated resinous hops.
