De Molen’s Mooi & Meedogenloos is a sophisticated Imperial Stout that bridges the gap between a robust roasted ale and a dark Belgian abbey beer. This deep, viscous brew presents an intense tapestry of dark chocolate and rich brown sugar, layered with evocative dried fruit notes of plums and raisins. Subtle hints of licorice and a spicy, yeast-forward complexity provide an elegant sensory balance against a bold backdrop of assertive roasted malts. Appearance. Jet black and opaque (40 SRM). Pours with a dense, deep tan head of moderate retention. Noticeable viscosity and high alcohol content create visible legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with a rich blend of bittersweet chocolate, espresso, and black licorice. Pronounced esters of plums, raisins, and figs are complemented by a hint of spicy phenols and a subtle, clean alcohol warmth.
