The finish is moderately dry with a lingering note of dark fruit, while the 7.2% alcohol provides a smooth, integrated warmth that underscores the beer's substantial character.
Appearance. Deep copper to dark amber with a brilliant reddish depth (SRM 15-17); crowned by a large, dense, long-lasting creamy off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity of rich malt featuring toasted bread and caramelized sugar; layered with moderate esters of raisin, plum, and a hint of banana; low spicy, peppery yeast phenols; hops are virtually absent.
