This sophisticated Belgian Golden Strong Ale offers an elegant sensory journey, defined by its high attenuation and complex fermentation profile. A brilliant golden hue precedes an aromatic bouquet where pome fruit esters—notably ripe pear—intertwine with the delicate, honeyed perfume of heather flowers. The Pilsner malt base remains lean and grainy-sweet, allowing the herbal Continental hop character and spicy, peppery phenols to shine. On the palate, a firm bitterness is amplified by effervescent carbonation and a bone-dry finish. At 9.5% ABV, a soft, integrated warmth rounds out this effervescent Grand Cru, leaving a clean, floral, and lingering spicy aftertaste.

Appearance. Deep yellow to gold (6 SRM). Brilliant clarity with vigorous effervescence. Forms a massive, long-lasting, rocky white head with exceptional Belgian lace remaining on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity bouquet featuring pear and red apple esters. Distinctive floral notes from the heather flowers provide a honey-like perfume. Herbal hop character is moderate, supported by peppery phenols and a soft, perfumy alcohol presence over a neutral, grainy-sweet malt backdrop.

Taste. Initial impression is crisp and dry. Dominant pear-like fruitiness and spicy, herbal hop flavors are complemented by unique floral heather nuances. Bitterness is firm and persistent, accentuated by the dry finish. Low grainy pilsner malt sweetness quickly gives way to a long, dry, and slightly peppery aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body, feeling lighter than the 9.5% ABV would suggest. Very high carbonation creates an effervescent, prickly sensation. Alcohol warmth is noticeable but smooth and well-integrated; no harshness or astringency.
