Dark Star Espresso is a masterclass in coffee integration, utilizing a robust black beer base to showcase freshly ground Arabica coffee beans. The sensory profile is immediately defined by the intense, aromatic presence of the coffee, which provides a rich, roasty depth that complements the char of the roasted barley malt. Subtle earthy and herbal notes from Challenger hops provide a structured bitterness, grounding the drink's espresso-forward character. Appearance. Opaque black (SRM 35-40) with a thick, creamy tan head that demonstrates excellent retention and leaves consistent lacing on the glass.
