Techno Head is a modern American Pale Ale that showcases a vibrant hop profile against a soft, wheat-forward foundation. The sensory journey begins with intense aromas of zesty tangerine and bright orange, driven by heavy doses of Citra. As the beer hits the palate, Idaho 7 contributes layers of lush tropical stone fruit and a subtle resinous depth. The mouthfeel is notably silky and smooth, owing to the extra pale malt and wheat base, which balances the moderate bitterness. Appearance. Pale gold to light straw (4–6 SRM). It presents with a persistent, large white head with good retention and light lacing. Distinctive haze from the wheat-heavy grist and double dry hopping.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of zesty tangerine, bright orange, and ripe stone fruit. A low, clean, bready maltiness from the wheat provides a soft background, while fermentation is neutral with very low fruity esters.
Taste. The initial impression is hop-forward, delivering concentrated flavors of citrus zest and tropical fruit from the Citra and Idaho 7. The malt flavor is low to moderate, characterized by a soft, bready, and grainy-sweet wheat character. Bitterness is moderate (approx. 40 IBU), supporting the hop flavors without being harsh.
