Candivore presents a playful hybrid experience, merging the classic fermentation profile of a Weissbier with a slightly bolder presence. High-intensity aromas of ripe banana and pungent clove dominate the nose, supported by a bready, doughy malt base. While the brewer hints at New England influences, the palate remains firmly anchored in tradition, delivering soft wheat sweetness and a remarkably creamy, fluffy mouthfeel. The elevated 6.5% ABV adds a subtle, well-integrated warmth that enhances the beer’s depth without compromising its spritzy, effervescent finish. It is a vibrant, hazy exploration of yeast-driven character and textural softness.
Appearance. Deep gold (6 SRM) with a very thick, moussy, long-lasting white head and excellent lacing. It is hazy with a noticeable shine from the high wheat content and suspended yeast.
Aroma. High intensity with dominant aromas of ripe banana and spicy clove. A moderate bready and doughy wheat character forms the backbone, complemented by a light vanilla note. Hop character is nearly absent, with only a faint herbal trace.
Taste. Initial impression is of soft, bready wheat followed quickly by a moderate banana and clove yeast profile. Bitterness is low, allowing the malt and fermentation esters to lead. The finish is relatively dry and refreshing despite the higher gravity, leaving a lingering impression of grainy-sweet Pilsner malt and spice.
