Seed Money is a quintessential Hazy IPA that leads with a vibrant, juice-forward profile designed to spark the palate. Extensive dry-hopping with Citra, Azacca, and El Dorado creates a saturated bouquet of overripe mango, bright tangerine, and tropical pineapple. These lush notes are supported by a soft, pillowy malt base of flaked grains that provides a subtle bready sweetness without distracting from the hop intensity. The 7% ABV is expertly integrated behind a smooth, velvety texture and a restrained bitterness that emphasizes the juicy character. It finishes with a clean, lingering citrus essence, making for a refreshing yet impactful New England-inspired experience.
Appearance.Pours a hazy, nearly opaque straw to pale gold (4-5 SRM) with a luminous shine. It is topped by a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head that demonstrates excellent retention and leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma.High intensity hop aroma featuring a complex blend of tropical fruit and citrus. Prominent notes of mango, pineapple, and lime are balanced by a background of grainy, lightly bready malt. Low fruity esters of peach support the hop profile without any harsh grassy or herbal notes.
Taste.Initial impression is an explosion of fruity hop flavors including stone fruit and grapefruit. The malt flavor is low but provides a necessary bready backbone. Perceived bitterness is low to medium-low, lacking any sharp or harsh edges. The finish is off-dry and smooth, with a lingering tropical fruit aftertaste that avoids any resinous astringency.
Mouthfeel.Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. There is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth. The texture is smooth and creamy without being syrupy, avoiding any starchy or acidic twang.
