This collaboration Black IPA pours a deep, midnight mahogany, bridging the gap between New World hop intensity and subtle roasted malts. A massive aromatic bouquet driven by Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe delivers layers of tropical fruit and resinous pine, while Amarillo adds a bright citrus lift. The addition of Nelson Sauvin Hop Kief imparts a distinct white grape and gooseberry complexity. On the palate, the bitter-forward profile of a classic American IPA is supported by gentle chocolate and toasted notes, avoiding harsh acridity. It finishes crisp and dry, showcasing a masterful balance of dank hop oils and clean, dark malt depth.

Appearance. Dark brown to opaque black (35–40 SRM); persistent light tan head with moderate lacing; clear at the edges with deep mahogany highlights.

Aroma. High intensity; dominant tropical notes of mango and passion fruit; bright grapefruit citrus; resinous pine and damp earth; unique white grape and gooseberry; very low toasted malt and light chocolate in the background; clean fermentation.

Taste. Initial hop punch of citrus and stone fruit; firm hop bitterness; mid-palate reveals smooth, debittered chocolate and toasted malt; finish is dry and clean with a lingering resinous and white grape aftertaste; no harsh or burnt character despite the dark color.

Mouthfeel. Medium body; moderate carbonation; smooth, slightly creamy texture; light, well-integrated alcohol warmth; low astringency from roasted malts.
