Airport Lounge is a potent Double IPA that showcases a sophisticated hop profile. A heavy dry-hopping of Citra delivers foundational layers of juicy grapefruit and tropical mango, while Motueka contributes bright, zesty lime and crushed lemon notes. The unique addition of HBC-630 adds a distinctive candy-like edge, reminiscent of raspberries and sweet cherries. Despite its 8.5% ABV, the beer remains impressively drinkable with a clean, neutral malt backbone that provides structure without cloying sweetness. The finish is assertively bitter yet smooth, emphasizing the hop-forward character typical of the style while maintaining a refined, modern sensory balance.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper with a slight haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of lime, grapefruit, and tropical fruit. Subtle hints of red berry and candy-like sweetness appear over a very low, clean, grainy malt background.
