Dangerous Ales

This American Lager redefines the crispy profile through a vibrant dry-hopping regimen. A clean foundation of Light Lager Malt and Flaked Rice provides a neutral, cereal-sweet canvas for the hops to shine. Nelson Sauvin drives the aromatic profile with distinctive notes of gooseberry, white wine, and a hint of dank resin, while Saaz adds a delicate floral and spicy counterpoint. Magnum provides a clean, supporting bitterness that leads into a refreshing, citrus-forward finish. Fermented with the classic W3470 yeast, the profile remains impeccably clean, allowing the bright hop fruitiness and the snap of high carbonation to create an ultimate everyday crusher.

Appearance. Brilliant, crystal-clear clarity with a very pale straw color (2 SRM). Pours with a moderate white, frothy head that displays fair retention and leaves light lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Moderate intensity characterized by a clean, grainy-sweet malt profile. The hop character is prominent for the style, showcasing citrus zest, gooseberry, and a subtle dankness from the Nelson Sauvin, complemented by low spicy and floral notes of Saaz. Fermentation is very clean with no detectable esters or diacetyl.

Taste. The initial impression is crisp and refreshing. A light, crackery malt and neutral grain flavor forms the base. Hop flavors of lime zest and white grape are evident, transitioning into a light, palate-cleansing bitterness. The balance is slightly hop-forward for the style but maintains a dry, clean finish with a short, citrusy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a very high carbonation level that provides a sharp, prickly carbonic bite. Extremely smooth and crisp, with no astringency and no perceived alcohol warmth.
