Damm Inedit Rosé is a gastronomic evolution of the classic Weissbier style, drawing inspiration from elBulli’s culinary heritage. This malt and wheat blend is elevated by an infusion of red fruit juice and botanicals, creating a vibrant sensory profile. Aromas of fresh strawberry and citrusy mandarin zest intertwine with a delicate floral herbalism. On the palate, the characteristic bready wheat base supports a sophisticated interplay between the natural sweetness of strawberry and a curated botanical bitterness reminiscent of Italian bitters. Subtle hints of black pepper provide an earthy spice that complements the refreshing acidity, leading to a crisp, effervescent finish designed for culinary pairing.
Appearance. SRM 4–7; a distinctive pale rose to salmon hue. Displays a thick, moussy, long-lasting head with a faint pink tint and persistent lacing. Typically hazy with a soft, radiant glow from the combination of wheat proteins and fruit juice.
Aroma. High intensity featuring a complex bouquet of fresh strawberry and zesty mandarin orange. Underlying notes of bready, doughy wheat are complemented by a refined botanical layer of basil and a spicy crack of black pepper. The traditional banana and clove esters of the yeast are present but reside behind the vibrant fruit and herbal profile.
Taste. The initial impression is a bright burst of red fruit and citrus acidity. Soft, bready wheat malt provides a creamy foundation for flavors of ripe strawberry and orange zest. While hop bitterness is low, a distinct herbal and spice-driven bitterness provides a sophisticated, dry counterbalance to the fruit. The finish is clean and refreshing with a lingering note of citrus peel and black pepper.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a fluffy, creamy fullness derived from the wheat. Very high carbonation creates a spritzy, effervescent sensation on the tongue. No alcohol warmth is perceived, and the beer remains highly drinkable without any cloying sweetness or astringency.
