This Scottish Light presents a classic Roja profile, leading with a comforting array of malty sensations. Toasted breadcrumbs and English biscuits merge with layers of caramel and toffee, creating a rich aromatic profile despite the extremely low gravity. Subtle notes of pome fruit and a whisper of earthy English hops provide complexity without overshadowing the grain. On the palate, the sweetness of caramelized sugars is deftly balanced by a signature light roasty dryness in the finish. It is a clean, exceptionally sessionable ale where the malt takes center stage, offering a surprisingly creamy texture and a balanced, non-cloying aftertaste that remains approachable and refreshing.

Appearance. Deep copper to dark reddish-brown (17–25 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a low, creamy, off-white head that shows moderate lacing.

Aroma. Low to moderate malt intensity featuring prominent caramel and toffee. Delicate notes of toasted graham crackers and English biscuits are present alongside very light pome fruit esters and a faint, earthy hop character.

Taste. Initial medium bready-toasty malt flavor, evolving into rich caramel and toffee overtones. Fermentation is clean with light esters. A light roasty dryness emerges toward the finish to offset the residual sugars. Low hop bitterness and flavor provide just enough balance to prevent a cloying finish.

Mouthfeel. Medium-low body with low to moderate carbonation. Notable creaminess on the tongue with no perceived alcohol warmth and no astringency.
