Glow Stick is a luminous Hazy IPA that showcases a vibrant hop trio of Citra, Strata, and Sabro. A hazy malt base provides a soft, pillowy foundation for a tropical bouquet of ripe passion fruit, bright citrus, and a whisper of coconut. The Citra hops lead with refreshing grapefruit and lime zest, while Strata adds depth with notes of strawberry and tropical dankness. Sabro rounds out the profile with a subtle creaminess and exotic fruit character. This easy-drinking ale balances a restrained bitterness with a lush, juicy finish, making for a mellow yet complex sensory experience.
Appearance. Pours a hazy, glowing straw to light gold (approx. 4 SRM) with a luminous opacity. Topped by a dense, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a tropical medley of mango, passion fruit, and tangerine. Citra provides clear citrus notes, while Strata contributes a hint of berry and herbal dankness. Sabro adds a distinctive, soft coconut and pineapple undertone. Low bready and grainy malt presence supports the hops. Clean fermentation profile with subtle fruity esters.
Taste. An initial wave of juicy tropical fruit and citrus flavors. Notes of grapefruit, passion fruit, and a hint of coconut reflect the Citra, Strata, and Sabro hop bill. Malt flavor is low, providing a neutral, bready base that allows the hops to remain the focus. Bitterness is moderate-low and smooth, lacking any harsh edges. The finish is soft and off-dry with a lingering impression of tropical juice and orange peel.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation enhances the juicy perception. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated. Smooth mouthfeel without any astringency or raw grain harshness.
