Miles To Italy is a contemporary interpretation of a German Pils, reimagined through the lens of an Italian Pilsner. A clean, crisp foundation of grainy, cracker-like malt provides a stage for a generous dry-hopping of Strata hops. This infusion elevates the profile with vibrant layers of tropical passion fruit, bright citrus, and a signature herbal dankness. While the base maintains the brilliant clarity and snappy finish characteristic of the style, the American Strata hops introduce a bold, aromatic complexity that bridges tradition and modern craft innovation. It is a refreshing, dry, and hop-forward lager with a lingering, sophisticated bitterness.
Appearance. Brilliant straw to deep yellow with exceptional clarity. Topped by a dense, creamy white head with excellent retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. Moderately high hop intensity featuring distinct passion fruit, mango, and grapefruit from the Strata dry-hopping, complemented by a subtle, resinous dankness. Supporting low grainy, doughy, and toasted cracker malt notes. Clean fermentation profile with no esters or diacetyl.
Taste. Initial crisp, grainy-sweet malt quickly transitions to dominant hop flavors of tropical fruit and citrus. Medium-high bitterness is firm but clean, accentuated by a dry, mineral finish. The Strata hops provide a complex, lingering aftertaste of resin and fruit. Very clean lager character.
