The sensory experience opens with an intense aromatic burst of lime zest from the Motueka and Citra, alongside ripe pineapple and stone fruit cues driven by El Dorado. These bright notes are grounded by a classic resinous pine and black tea backbone characteristic of Idaho 7. On the palate, the hop complexity intensifies, delivering layers of grapefruit and tropical mango against a lean, grainy malt base. A firm, clean bitterness defines the structure, driving toward a crisp, bone-dry finish. This American IPA balances modern tropical hop aromatics with the assertive, refreshing bite characteristic of the West Coast style.
Appearance. Medium gold (7 SRM), brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, white head with excellent persistence and intricate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring bright lime, grapefruit, and tropical pineapple. A secondary layer of resinous pine and light apricot emerges, supported by a very low, clean, crackery malt presence. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.
Taste. Initial impression is sharply hoppy and dry. High hop bitterness is immediate, followed by flavors of lime peel, mango, and resin. Malt is low and neutral, providing a light grainy support without sweetness. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering, clean bitterness and hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, non-astringent texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a prickly, refreshing sensation. A light, integrated alcohol warmth is present but subtle.
