This Hazy IPA presents a vibrant tapestry of modern hop character, driven by the expressive pairing of El Dorado and Motueka. The nose is greeted with an intense bouquet of candied watermelon, overripe stone fruit, and a distinct zesty lime top note. Beneath the fruit, a soft, bready malt foundation provides a neutral canvas for these tropical layers. On the palate, the experience is lush and juicy, emphasizing soft pineapple and mojito-like citrus. A restrained bitterness ensures a smooth, approachable finish, while the hazy, opaque body delivers a velvety mouthfeel typical of the style's signature juicy profile.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (4-6 SRM); hazy and opaque with a luminous shine. Supports a thick, white, rocky head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical fruit and citrus; El Dorado provides notes of candy and stone fruit, while Motueka adds a bright lime zest. Malt is low and lightly bready; fermentation is clean with supportive fruity esters.
Taste. High to very high fruity hop flavor featuring tropical punch, lime, and peach. Malt flavor is low, providing a grainy, doughy backbone. Perceived bitterness is low to medium-low, balanced by a medium-dry finish that is soft and never harsh. Aftertaste lingers with citrus oils and tropical fruit.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated. Entirely smooth with no astringency or raw starch texture.
