This Belgian Dubbel presents a rich, mahogany-hued profile enhanced by the addition of Rapadura, which imparts deep notes of molasses and unrefined caramel. The aroma is a sophisticated blend of toasted malts, raisins, and dried plums, supported by a subtle, peppery yeast character typical of monastic ales. On the palate, the earthy sweetness of the Rapadura integrates seamlessly with the dark fruit esters, while a moderate carbonation lifts the medium-full body. Despite the initial malty richness, the beer transitions into a moderately dry finish with a lingering suggestion of caramelized sugar and soft spice, maintaining a clean and approachable profile.

Appearance. Dark copper to dark amber in color with attractive reddish highlights; generally clear with a large, dense, and long-lasting creamy off-white head that provides excellent lacing.
