Croma Mezzo A Mezzo is a masterful blend of Bourbon Barrel Aged Barley Wine and Imperial Stout, delivering an intense and opulent sensory experience. The aroma opens with a deep bouquet of dark chocolate and rich caramel, intertwined with the signature bourbon notes of oak, vanilla, and a delicate hint of coconut. On the palate, luscious layers of raisins and plums meld with a robust roasted malt profile, supported by a significant 12% alcohol presence. This complex Imperial Stout balances bittersweet cocoa with the sweet, vinous qualities of a well-aged Barley Wine, finishing with a lingering, warming complexity that highlights its barrel-aged heritage.

Appearance. SRM 40+; jet black and completely opaque. Features a thick, creamy tan head with moderate retention and pronounced legs on the glass reflecting its high alcohol and viscosity.

Aroma. High intensity with a rich, complex blend of bittersweet chocolate, roasted coffee, and deep caramel sweetness. Prominent bourbon barrel character introduces notes of charred oak, vanilla, and toasted coconut, complemented by moderate esters of raisins and plums.

Taste. Initial impression is moderately sweet and rich, showcasing dark chocolate and heavy caramel. Layers of dried fruits, specifically raisins and plums, provide depth. The finish is long and complex, balancing roasted malt bitterness with bourbon-soaked oak and vanilla. Hop character is very low, allowing the malt and barrel-derived flavors to dominate.
