Moonage Daydream is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases a heavy-hitting hop quintet. Citra and Mosaic lead the charge with intense notes of pink grapefruit and mango, while El Dorado and Azacca contribute lush layers of ripe pineapple and stone fruit. A subtle hint of Simcoe provides a grounding, resinous depth. The beer delivers the brewery's promised thick and juicy character, weaving these tropical cues into a soft, bready malt base. The result is a highly saturated hop experience with a smooth, restrained bitterness that prioritizes a lush, fruit-forward profile and a clean, approachable finish.
Appearance. Color is pale gold to light amber (4-7 SRM). Distinctively hazy and opaque with a luminous quality. Features a tall, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring mango, pineapple, tangerine, and stone fruit. Supported by a light, bready, and grainy malt character. Fermentation is clean with supportive fruity esters that do not distract from the hop-forward profile.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the tropical and citrus aroma. Low to medium-low bready malt sweetness provides balance without caramel or toast. Bitterness is moderate but smooth, lacking any harshness or sharp edges. The finish is medium-dry to off-dry with a lingering, juicy fruit aftertaste.
